"All to Jesus..."

All to Jesus I surrender;
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

Refrain:
I surrender all,
I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

All to Jesus I surrender;
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel the Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

All to Jesus I surrender;
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power;
Let Thy blessing fall on me
.
All to Jesus I surrender;
Now I feel the sacred flame.
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory, to His Name!

Wow. This is an "oldie goldie" that oft-times we sing without truly thinking about the words.  "All to Jesus I surrender..." Do we truly mean that? It's not just you - I'm talking about myself, too. Think of your most prized possession - is it your family? Money? Health? A relationship? Possessions?Or something different? Would you be willing to give it all to Jesus? Surrender is not just a one-time thing. Every moment of every day involves it. "All to Him I freely give..." Can you say/sing that, fully meaning it? I challenge you to read John 12:1-8, Mark 14:3-9, and Matthew 26:6-13, asking yourself these questions. What a wonderful sacrifice Mary made - and how wonderful it would be to have the King of Kings defending you!!

I give credit to this post to our Bible study leader, Ms. Betty Morin. Inspired by John 12:1-8.
